Not Sweating The Small Stuff

I am waiting. I am bursting at the seams to tell you so much about the house.

I won't though until its official. Within a week?

Call me superstitious, but I don't want to be counting those chicks before the eggs or you know, whatever.

So I've been planning and taking care of details.

Details like getting the phone, cable and internet trenched out to the new house.

Within the last year fiber optic lines were installed at our current house for Internet, phone and cable. A special crew came and trenched the line and installed the new system.

So while I was in town running errands I stopped by their office and asked them how I should go about getting the fiber optic line trenched to the new house.

Good news, bad news. They will trench out the line, but they only do it when the special crew is in town, which is only three to four times a year.

Aaannddd, the next time they will be here is near the end of August or early September.

Aaannddddd I have to have a foundation down or they won't/can't do it. If I don't have a foundation by then, they will come back when it works for them, which could be as late as next spring. Oh the joys of small town living.

Not digging the idea of no Internet at the the new old house for that long.

Telephone? No biggie, I've got my cell.

No TV? No problem, I've done that for years!

But no Internet? Not happening.

Anyways, I'm crossing my fingers and praying a foundation is there by the time the fiber optic crew comes to town.

I have claimed this the year of the calm, so I am reminding myself to take it all one day at a time. This is a total first world problem that isn't even a problem yet so I'll just roll with it.

In other news, I just found these and I am so pumped.

I love window seats. I love the coziness, the character, the warmth, basically everything about them.

According to the website these windows can be installed where a regular window is! How exciting is that?

Since there are windows that need to be replaced anyways this might work out great.

Thanks for stopping by. What other little/big things (like internet) should I be taking care of?

Have a lovely evening!
